Current Committees: Finance (chair), Community Engagement/Service (chair), and Streets, Roads & Lighting (chair)
Community Service: Marion is currently involved with the West Chester Chapter of Kiwanis, she advises Circle K, a student run service organization as well as Miss West Chester University. Marion also serves as a Board Member for The Children’s Home of York, which has several branches in PA.
About: Marion McKinney describes herself as a lifelong learner, embracing every experience as a growth opportunity. She is a two-time alumna of West Chester University. Earning her B.S. in Criminal Justice, minoring in Speech Communications and German and her M.S. in Higher Education Counseling. Marion has worked in Higher Education for 25 years, 19 of those years at West Chester University. She serves as the Director of Residence Life and Housing Services. As the Director, her scope of responsibilities includes serving the 5,150 students who live in apartments or residential facilities. Marion is skilled in public speaking, conflict mediation and resolution as well as restorative justice practices that she uses daily with college students, parents of college students, family, and friends. Marion is also a self-defense instructor through R. A. D. Incorporated.
Marion grew up as a proud Army Brat overseas, and has a true appreciation for establishing roots in Collegeville, PA. She and her husband Todd are raising two phenomenal future change agents. She has lived in Collegeville for 20 years and wouldn’t have it any other way. Collegeville is HOME.
